John has been a long-time member of the League, since before 2000.  From 2006-2009 he served as Treasurer, and has served off-board as our Bookkeeper since 2010.

John represented Radnor Township's 5th Ward as Commissioner for 10 years, and was a member of the BoC subcommittee that performed the most recent redistricting of Radnor's wards and precincts.

He was one of the founders of the Radnor Conservancy, serving on their Board for over ten years.  He served on Radnor's Parks and Rec Board and the Environmental Advisory Committee.

John's interests include Parks, Trails, Environment and Governance.

Professionally, John Nagle is a retired engineer who worked in the power industry, mainly nuclear.   He served in the US Air Force from 71-73 and was ranked Sergeant upon discharge.  Most recently he has been consulting on Emergency Preparedness.

John has lived in Radnor for 36 years with wife Barbara and daughter Justine.

Susan moved to Radnor in 1990 from New York, where she was a member of the local League of Ossining/Briarcliff in Westchester County. One of her chief interests is cross-cultural affairs and diversity. Active in the Radnor League since 2012, Susan was nominated as Secretary in 2015. She also serves as the Radnor League liaison to the CommUnity Breakfast Collaborative of the Main Line Undoing Racism Day. Susan worked for the Radnor Township School District for almost 20 years as a teacher in Ithan and Radnor Elementary Schools and as the school social worker for the District. She enjoys traveling, cooking and sampling unusual cuisine.

Roberta Winters,

President Emeritus

Roberta stepped down as Radnor League President in June of 2021, having served three terms as President of the League of Women Voters of Radnor Township. During this time s,he engaged the Radnor League in many and wide-ranging issues of importance to the community, including gerrymandering, registering eligible students to vote, sponsoring public forums on topics covering environmental, school, and other issues. She also worked hard to maintain the Radnor League’s vital role in organizing debates for local candidates for office and fostering partnerships with other organizations in the township. 

Roberta first became involved with the League serving as the liaison for local educational issues in Radnor, and quickly joined the Board of the Pennsylvania LWV.

Nowadays, as a private citizen, she is still a presence at local government meetings, and in her role for the Radnor League, she works with our interns and student members on their projects and continues to host interviews on local public access television.

Professionally, Roberta was a teacher in the Radnor Township schools for over 30 years, and also served in leadership roles in the Radnor Township Education Association, including as its President.

Dorothy Orlichowski

Historian Emeritus

An active participant in the Radnor League of Women Voters as well as other community organizations, Dorothy served three terms as vice-president of the League. Her interests include local government, schools, and community service. Dorothy moved to Radnor in 1997, worked for Penn Salt for thirty-six years where she became the first woman to assume a managerial role in the company. In the community she has served as Secretary of the Saturday Club, a trustee of the Radnor Memorial Library, and on the Board of Directors for the Radnor Township School District, where she served on the Finance Committee. In 2013, she was appointed to serve on the Radnor Home Rule Charter Commission. In recognition of her years of service to the community, Dorothy is the recipient of the 2019 Civic Participation Award of the Radnor League.
