Roberta Winters,
President Emeritus
Roberta stepped down as Radnor League President in June of 2021, having served three terms as President of the League of Women Voters of Radnor Township. During this time s,he engaged the Radnor League in many and wide-ranging issues of importance to the community, including gerrymandering, registering eligible students to vote, sponsoring public forums on topics covering environmental, school, and other issues. She also worked hard to maintain the Radnor League’s vital role in organizing debates for local candidates for office and fostering partnerships with other organizations in the township.
Roberta first became involved with the League serving as the liaison for local educational issues in Radnor, and quickly joined the Board of the Pennsylvania LWV.
Nowadays, as a private citizen, she is still a presence at local government meetings, and in her role for the Radnor League, she works with our interns and student members on their projects and continues to host interviews on local public access television.
Professionally, Roberta was a teacher in the Radnor Township schools for over 30 years, and also served in leadership roles in the Radnor Township Education Association, including as its President.
