Community ForumsiCAL Export

A core element of the mission of the League of Women Voters is to empower voters and a large part of the Radnor League’s role is to educate the public about issues that affect the community. To achieve this, the Radnor League periodically holds public forums, frequently in the Township building, and regularly prepares television programming on Main Line TV (formerly Radnor Studio 21).

This programming covers an array of selected topics, including good government, schools, public safety, ballot referenda, the environment, and more. A special emphasis in 2020 has been on the history of the Right to Vote movement in America.

Why does the U.S. Census matter to you? Find out more about how it affects you and your community.

Join us for an interactive decision-making experience led by Radnor High School teacher Mr. Ed Ruby.

After decades of advocacy, women won the right to vote in 2020 - just one hundred years ago. Using research materials and primary sources developed by the Harvard Business School, Mr. Ruby will help us make the connections. Through strategic questioning techniques, Ruby will broaden our knowledge, prompt critical thinking, and guide our examination of the past. Participants will explore the topic using the Harvard Civics Project based on the case method of the Harvard Business School

This event is FREE and the virtual connection information will be emailed to you upon registration, along with the case materials needed to prepare.
