Jeanette Ross Environment Program - Plastic Pollution Crisis in Pennsylvania

Join us for the Jeanette Ross Environment Program for 2024, Plastic Pollution Crisis in Pennsylvania on Thursday, March 21, 2024, 7:30 PM via Zoom. Kathy Cook, a volunteer speaker for Beyond Plastics, an organizer for the Chester County Environmental Alliance Single-Use Bag Ban Coalition, a Board Member of League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania (LWV) plus a member of our LWV of Central Delaware County will share information from Beyond Plastics, a national organization dedicated to educating the public about plastic pollution and promoting solutions to this problem and discuss the plastic pollution crisis in Pennsylvania and how we all can be a part of reducing the amount of plastic in our environment.

Kathy is an environmental advocate and deeply concerned about global warming and the current climate crisis.  Through her environmental advocacy work she learned that plastics are a significant driver of climate change. Not only do plastics affect our environment by driving global warming, but they also harm human and animal health. 

During the presentation Kathy will share data and facts about the plastic pollution crisis but will also share solutions to this problem. The good news is that there are solutions to this problem. Most of them are very simple, and most of them are within your power.
